Camperdown Inclusive Multiplay Unit02/12/15
A new inclusive play unit is set to be installed at Camperdown Country Park.
The facility will replace an old play area which is beyond economic repair.
The city council’s environment committee will be told of the development at a meeting on Monday December 7.
Nearly £60,000 of work will mean the removal of the existing equipment and installation of a play unit that offers inclusive access to children of all abilities. It will feature wheelchair access, steel slides and various play elements.
Depute environment convener Councillor Vari McDonald said: “We have been working on the Camperdown Masterplan for some time now to progress improvements across the park
“This new inclusive play area will be a superb asset and I am sure it will be very popular.
“We are looking at improving and enhancing other areas of the park as well including the former boating pond.”
