HOUSEHOLDERS in Dundee who completed the recent survey of tenants and residents (STAR) were entered into a free prize draw and the winners have been announced.

The five lucky winners, of a £50 Marks and Spencer’s voucher, were invited to Dundee House to collect their prize.

Kevin Cordell depute convener of the council’s housing committee was on hand to meet the winners and give them their vouchers.

He said: “Getting as many people as possible to take part in this type of survey is really important so that their voices are heard and we can respond to what they are telling us.

“This type of survey helps us to compare the council’s performance as a landlord with others in the city and to ensure that we continue to provide the best possible service to our tenants.”

Voucher winners, who are a mixture of council tenants and owner occupiers, were

Mrs Mary Christie, (95) of  Glenesk Avenue; Mrs Robina McKenzie, (62) of Longhaugh Terrace; Duncan Sutherland, (84) of Alpin Road;  James and Jean Cobb ( 65 and 66) of Craigie Drive; and Mrs Christine Knight of Tweed Crescent
