Investment For Dundee Law Heritage Project19/10/15
One of Dundee’s most treasured sites could be in line for over £140,000 worth of investment.
The Environment Committee will hear plans to invest £142,000 in the Dundee Law Heritage Project on Monday (October 26).
The project aims to make exploring the Law easier, more enjoyable and more interactive.
Improvements include the restoration of access steps, upgrading footpaths and drainage, refurbishment of seating and bollards, installation of new interpretive and directional signage.
In addition is it planned to undertake landscape and biodiversity improvements including creating wildflower meadows and a bat habitat.
Additional funding from the project will come from the Community Regeneration Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Environment Convener Councillor Craig Melville said: “The Dundee Law is an extremely important part of Dundee and we must work to protect it.
“These improvements will encourage people to explore the site and could hopefully lead to then having a greater involvement with the wider heritage project.”
