Councillors will be given an update on the tenders received for new play equipment at South Road Park on Monday (September 14).
The Environment Committee will discuss the investment of over £119,000 to create a new playpark at the site.
There will be new play equipment which includes an activity frame, cradle swing and a mini suspended bridge.
In addition, it will also have outdoor gym equipment.
Environment Committee Convener Councillor Craig Melville said: “Plans for South Road Park are really coming along, and this is just the next step.
“We are trying to make it fun for children and families with the new play equipment. Dundee City Council is committed to improving the health of local residents and the additional outdoor gym equipment will be an excellent way for people to get fit and active.
“I look forward to seeing the park once it is complete.”
T&N Gilmartin are the preferred contractors for the civil and landscape works, with Timberplay to supply some of the specialised play equipment.
