The minute of meeting of this Committee of 21st August, 2000 was held as read.

I APPLICATION TO ROYAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE OF SCOTLAND (REHIS)

 

The Committee agreed to affiliate to the above organisation for the year 2000/01 at a cost of 150.

 

II HILLTOWN TOILETS - DEMOLITION

 

There was submitted Report No 594-2000 by the City Engineer detailing a tender received in respect of the demolition of Hilltown Toilets.

 

The Committee approved acceptance of the offer from Trojan Metals in the sum of 8,900 and a total amount, including allowances of 11,900, for the project.

 

III ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS

 

It was reported that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents was holding a One Day Safety Course on 19th October, 2000 in Edinburgh at a cost per delegate of 60, excluding travel and subsistence.

 

The Committee authorised the attendance of one member of the Majority Group and one member of the Major Opposition Group.

 

IV RECYCLING ADVISORY GROUP (RAGS) AGM AND SEMINAR

 

The Committee authorised the attendance of the Convener or his nominee, together with one member from either the Major or Minor Opposition Groups, at the abovementioned event to take place in Stirling on 28th September, 2000 at a cost per delegate of 35, excluding travel and subsistence.
