I SOCIAL INCLUSION PARTNERSHIP - ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES 2000/2001
There was submitted Report No. 703-2000 by the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development bringing forward proposals for the further allocation of awards from the Small Grants Programme 2000/2001.
The Committee approved the award of Social Inclusion Partnership I Small Revenue Grants as set out in Appendix A and the award of Social Inclusion Partnership 2 Small Revenue Grants as set out in Appendix B.
II DISABLED ACCESS 2000/2001
There was submitted Report No. 704-2000 by the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development seeking authority for the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development to obtain offers and tenders to improve disabled access to Departmental facilities and services in the current year up to a total cost of 50,000 and to approve acceptance of these offers and tenders in conjunction with the City Architectural Services Officer.
The Committee authorised the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development to approve acceptance of the offers and tenders as recommended by the City Architectural Services Officer, in conjunction with the Convener and spokespersons from the majority and minority opposition groups.
III NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS FUND V 2000/2001
At its meeting on 10th February 1997, the Committee approved the criteria and procedures for the Department's grant aid portfolio (Report No. 127-1997 refers).
There was submitted Report No. 705-2000 by the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development detailing recommendations for specific grant awards.
The Committee approved payment of the following grants:-
* The Duke of Edinburgh's Award 607
Community Learning Scotland
(previously Scottish Community Education Council) 1,695
The National Training Organisation
(for Archives, Library and Information Services and Records Management) 300
Councillor Richard Beattie declared an interest in this item and took no part in the discussion.
IV SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT III 2000/2001
At its meeting on 10th February 1997, the Committee approved the criteria and procedures for the Department's grant aid portfolio (Report No. 127-1997 refers).
There was submitted Report No. 706-2000 by the Director of Neighbourhood Resources and Development detailing a recommendation for a specific grant award which can be met from the relevant Revenue Budget 2000/2001.
The Committee approved payment of a grant of 7,700 to Tayside Racial Equality Council.
