I TENDERS RECEIVED
The City Engineer submitted Report No 673-2000 giving details of offers received to carry out the Dundee Airport Apron Extension/Strengthening 2000.
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Raynesway Construction Ltd amounting to 504,203 to which required to be added allowances of 10,000 for contingencies, 44,000 for professional fees and 1,797 for the planning supervisor making a total expenditure of 560,000.
(b) TENDERS RECEIVED BY CITY ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES OFFICER
The City Architectural Services Officer submitted Report No 752-2000 giving details of offers received for the undernoted contracts:-
(i) Various Properties, Servicing of Kitchen Equipment 2001/2004
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Walton Catering Equipment Ltd amounting to 135,638.19 to which required to be added an allowance of 1,250 for professional services making a total expenditure of 136,888.19.
(ii) Various Properties, Fan Assisted Convector Heaters and Unit Heaters - Service Contract 2001/2004
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Scan Building Services Ltd amounting to 32,313 to which required to be added an allowance of 1,250 for professional services making a total expenditure of 33,563.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 6 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

There was submitted Report No 747-2000 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

III RENT REVIEWS
There was submitted and approved Report No 748-2000 by the Director of Economic Development detailing the review of rents in respect of the undernoted premises:-
Advance Factory Units 2 and 3, the Old Glamis Road Advance Factory Complex, Old Glamis Road.
IV 0.64 HECTARES (1.58 ACRES) OR THEREBY - SITE AT FOWLER ROAD, WEST PITKERRO INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
The Director of Economic Development reported that he had negotiated the sale of 0.64 hectares (1.58 acres) or thereby at Fowler Road to an interested company to be used for the construction of an industrial unit with associated car parking and landscaping.
The Committee authorised the Director of Economic Development to sell the site to the interested company on the terms stated and remitted to the Director of Support Services to conclude the necessary legal formalities.
V 98 ALBERT STREET
On a reference to Article VI(c) of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 17th April, 2000 the Director of Economic Development reported that since approval, further negotiations had taken place with the company and as a result the area to be conveyed had been slightly reduced by approximately 128 square metres.
The Committee agreed to accept the revised offer from the interested company.
