I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
II INTERNAL AUDIT REPORTS
There was submitted Report No 39-2022 by the Acting Senior Manager, Internal Audit providing a summary of the Internal Audit Reports finalised since the last meeting of this Committee.
The Committee noted the information contained within the report.
III INTERNAL AUDIT PLAN PROGRESS REPORT
There was submitted Report No 41-2022 by the Acting Senior Manager, Internal Audit providing an update on the progress towards delivering the 2021/2022 Internal Audit Plan.
The Committee noted the information contained within the report.
IV INSPECTION REPORT FOR FAIRBAIRN STREET CHILDRENS HOUSE
There was submitted Report No 48-2022 by the Executive Director of Children and Families providing a summary of a recent external inspection carried out by the Care Inspectorate on Fairbairn Street Young Persons Home in October, 2021, which did not require in-depth scrutiny. Over three categories of inspection, Fairbairn House received grades of Good in each. The inspection focused on supporting children and young peoples wellbeing, how good were the staff team and how well was the care of young people planned.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the summary of the inspection report on Fairbairn Street Young Persons Home attached to the report which received grades of Good in all areas covered by the inspection; and
(ii) remitted the Executive Director of Children and Families to ensure that the areas for improvement were acted upon.
