I DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Bailie Roberts and Councillors Dawson and Marra declared non-financial interests in Article IX by virtue of being Council representatives on Leisure & Culture Dundee.
II STANDARDS COMMISSION HEARING - COUNCILLOR GREGOR MURRAY
It was reported that, in terms of Section 18 of the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc (Scotland) Act 2000, the City Council was required to consider the findings of the Standards Commission hearing on 15th May, 2019 in relation to Councillor Gregor Murray.
The Council noted the findings.
III APPOINTMENT TO OUTSIDE BODIES
It was reported that Councillor Murray had resigned from the undernoted bodies and therefore the Council made the undernoted appointments:-
(a) Dundee Science Centre - Depute Lord Provost Campbell
(b) Dundee Trust - Councillor Rendall
(c) Mars Training Ship Fund - Councillor Rome
IV APPOINTMENT TO MEMBERSHIP OF STANDING COMMITTEES, LICENSING BOARD, LOCAL REVIEW BODY AND AD HOC SUB-COMMITTEES
It was reported that Councillor Murray had resigned from the undernoted bodies and therefore the Council made the undernoted appointments:-
(a) Licensing Committee - (Trained Substitute) - Bailie Roberts
(b) Personnel Appointments Sub-Committee - Councillor Hunter
(c) Personnel Appeals Sub-Committee - (Trained Substitute) - Councillor Rendall
(d) Pension Sub-Committee - Councillor Rome
(e) Licensing Board - Councillor Rome
(f) Local Review Body - (Trained Substitute) - A member of the Administration Group, name to be advised to the Clerk (Councillor Flynn)

It was reported that Councillor Short had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Ross.
(b) COMMUNITY SAFETY AND PUBLIC PROTECTION COMMITTEE
It was reported that Councillor Ross had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Cordell.
(c) NEIGHBOURHOOD SERVICES COMMITTEE
It was reported that Councillor Cordell had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Rendall.

It was reported that Councillor Rendall had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Short.

It was reported that Councillor Rendall had resigned from the above positon.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Rome.
VII OUTSIDE BODIES
(a) COSLA - BOARD - ENVIRONMENT AND ECONOMY
It was reported that Councillor Short had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Ross.
(b) DUNDEE HERITAGE TRUST
It was reported that Councillor Rendall had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Dawson.
(c) TAYSIDE CONTRACTS JOINT COMMITTEE
It was reported that Councillor Ross had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Rome.
(d) TAYSIDE VALUATION JOINT BOARD
It was reported that Councillor Ross had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Rome.
VIII SPOKESPERSON - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
It was reported that Councillor Rendall had resigned from the above position.
The Council agreed that the vacancy be filled by Councillor Short.
The Council resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
IX LEISURE & CULTURE DUNDEE BOARD
It was reported that there were vacancies on the Board of Trustees of Leisure & Culture Dundee for two charity trustees who were neither elected members nor officials of the Council (Independent Charity Trustees). Following consideration of expressions of interest, the Nominations Committee of Leisure & Culture Dundee agreed, at its meeting on 30th May, 2019, to recommend to the Council the appointments of Stuart Cross and Anna Day as Independent Charity Trustees with immediate effect.
It was further reported that it was anticipated there would be three vacancies for Independent Charity Trustees following the AGM of Leisure & Culture Dundee to be held in November, 2019, and the Nominations Committee recommended the appointments of Joanne Scobie, Nasreen Mohammed BEM and Sue Moody effective from the AGM. This would enable all nominated candidates to go through the same induction programme.
Reference was also made to Article VIII of the minute of meeting of this Council of 24th September, 2019, wherein the Council approved the appointment of Louis Lee for a one year term. The Nominations Committee recommended that Louis Lee be invited to serve for a second year in a co‑opted capacity as Youth Trustee.
The Council approved accordingly.
