The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant, the applicant himself, the Chief Constables representative and the Boards Legal Adviser, agreed to defer the application until the Boards meeting on 17th January, 2019 to allow Police Scotland to clarify if there were any live criminal proceedings in respect of the applicant.
II EQUALITY ACT 2010 - EQUALITY STRATEGY
Following a consultation held over summer 2018, there was submitted by the Clerk the updated Equality Strategy 2017-2021.
The Board agreed to adopt the strategy and equality outcomes proposed for the period 2017-2021, subject to the following amendments:-
Section 2 Mainstreaming Equality
The final sentence of the third paragraph be amended to read In that capacity, they have attended training on the public sector equality duty and equalities impact assessments will be made available.
Appendix 1 Paragraph 2
The second sentence have the word March deleted and December inserted.
Appendix 1 Paragraph 3
The first sentence be amended to read The Board wish support initiatives such as the Hate Incidents Multi-Agency Partnership.
III PREMISES LICENCE MAJOR VARIATION APPLICATION UPDATE
(i) FORGANS, 234 BROOK STREET, BROUGHTY FERRY, DUNDEE
Having heard from the objector, an agent on behalf of the applicant, Licensing Standards Officers and the Boards Legal Adviser, the Board agreed to defer this application until the Boards meeting on 14th February, 2019 to allow for more investigation/works regarding sound levels within the objectors property to be undertaken.
IV PREMISES LICENCE REQUEST FOR REVIEW - READING ROOMS
The Board agreed that further information be taken into consideration when the Premises Licence was being considered at a future Board meeting.
