III ACCOUNTS COMMISSION FINDINGS - SECTION 102 REPORT ON SIGNIFICANT FRAUD
There was submitted Report No 145-2018 by the Chief Executive relative to the above.
The Council unanimously:-
(i) resolved to note and agree the Accounts Commission findings and the actions which the Council had taken to address those recommendations;
(ii) resolved that the Chief Executive write to the Financial Conduct Authority regarding the responses received to the letters to Nationwide and Santander;
(iii) resolved that the issues which this case had given rise to should be monitored by the Council with the assistance of Internal and External Auditors; and
(iv) noted that the information contained in (i), (ii) and (iii) above would be published in a local newspaper.
