II CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982 - STREET NAMES - SITE AT FORMER BUCKLEMAKER COURT AND BUTTERBURN COURTS, DUNDEE

 

The above item was withdrawn.

 

III DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (DICKSON AVENUE AND EARN CRESCENT, DUNDEE) (VARIATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2017

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN97-2017, where reference was made to Article XVI of the minute of meeting of this Committee on 26th June 2017, wherein the Committee authorised the preparation of an Order. Due to the construction of a new school, it was necessary to revise the waiting restrictions on adjacent lengths of carriageway to promote road safety.

 

The proposed Order was duly prepared and, during the statutory consultation period, no objections were received. The Order was advertised in the Evening Telegraph and an objection was received by Petition.

 

The Committee agreed to make the Order despite the objection.

 

IV DICKSON AVENUE AND EARN CRESCENT (EXTENSION OF FLASHING 20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2017

 

There was submitted Report No 355-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development considering the necessity to extend an existing flashing 20 mph zone on Dickson Avenue and Earn Crescent in close proximity to Tayview Primary School in Menzieshill.

 

The Committee approved the preparation of the necessary Traffic Regulation Order which would extend the existing 20 mph zone in Dickson Avenue and Earn Crescent within the Menzieshill area of Dundee.

 

V TENDERS RECEIVED - SUPPLY OF PLANT AND VEHICLES

 

There was submitted Report No 383-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-

 

(i) MINIBUSES X 2 - MERCEDES BENZ SPRINTER LWB

 

The Committee agreed to accept an offer in the sum of 120,536 from Western Commercials, Dundee.

 

(ii) TRAILED GRASS CUTTING GANGS X 1 - TRIMAX SNAKE

 

The Committee agreed to accept an offer in the sum of 16,320 from Gammies, Forfar.

 

(iii) RIDE ON ROTARY MOWERS X 4 - RANSOMES HR300

 

The Committee agreed to accept an offer in the sum of 75,456 from Fairways, Kinross.

 

VI AGREEMENT BETWEEN HOMES FOR SCOTLAND AND DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL

 

There was submitted Report No 388-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval for Dundee City Council to enter into an agreement with Homes for Scotland to work together to deliver housing within Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the agreement and remitted the Executive Director of City Development to organise the official signing of the agreement by Dundee City Council and Homes for Scotland.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

 

VII QUEEN STREET CAR PARK, BROUGHTY FERRY

 

There was submitted Report No 381-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval to grant a licence to occupy part of Queen Street Car Park, Broughty Ferry.

 

The Committee agreed to the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

There was submitted Report No 395-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development detailing commercial leases, licences and rent reviews in respect of the undernoted properties:-

The Committee noted and approved accordingly.

 

IX SALE OF LAND - DERBY STREET, DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 393-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval for the disposal of land at Derby Street, Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the sale of land on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

 

X SALE OF PROPERTY - LAUDERDALE AVENUE, DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 389-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval for the disposal of property at Lauderdale Avenue, Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the sale of property on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

 

XI SALE OF LAND - MORGAN PLACE, DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 390-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval for the disposal of land at Morgan Place, Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the disposal of land on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

 

XII SALE OF PROPERTY - PERTH ROAD, DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 391-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking approval for the disposal of former public toilets, Seabraes, Perth Road, Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the disposal of property on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

 

XIII SALE OF LAND AND BUILDINGS - RANKINE STREET, DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 392-2017 by the Executive Director of City Development seeking disposal of the site of the former student accommodation at 14 Rankine Street, Dundee and former residential care facility at 16 Rankine Street, Dundee.

 

The Committee approved the disposal of land and buildings on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.
