I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

II ADULT SUPPORT AND PROTECTION COMMITTEE - INDEPENDENT CONVENERS BIENNIAL REPORT

 

There was submitted Report No 272-2016 advising the Committee that the Independent Convener of the Adult Support and Protection Committee had produced his Biennial Report for the Scottish Government for the period April, 2014 - March, 2016, to inform the Committee of the work undertaken in the past two years and the priorities recommended for the period 2016-2018.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) note the content of the Independent Conveners Biennial Report;

 

(ii) note the progress that had been made in developing an effective partnership response to Adult Support and Protection issues in the city;

 

(iii) note the Independent Conveners recommendations for 2016; and

 

(iv) request that the Chief Officer on the Councils behalf, collaborate with relevant groupings and individuals within the Health and Social Care Partnership and Dundee City Council to ensure a response was developed, laying out the necessary actions for taking this work forward.

 

III TRADING STANDARDS TRUSTED TRADER SCHEME PROGRESS REPORT

 

There was submitted Report No 276-2016 updating the Committee on the Dundee City Council Trusted Trader Scheme.

 

The Committee noted the content of the report.

 

IV DUNDEE COMMUNITY SAFETY PARTNERSHIP ANNUAL REPORT 1ST APRIL, 2015 - 31ST MARCH, 2016

 

There was submitted Report No 277-2016 seeking approval for the Dundee Community Safety Partnership Annual Report 1st April, 2015 - 31st March, 2016.

 

The Committee approved the content of the report, and:-

 

(i) noted the continued overall positive downward trends in relation to crime and anti‑social behaviour levels; and

 

(ii) recognised that in some reported data sets increased detection/apprehension statistics were a positive outcome of targeted and co-ordinated activity between partner agencies.
