The minute of meeting of this Committee of 24th August, 2015 was held as read.

Prior to the commencement of business the Convener, members of the Committee and the Chief Executive paid tribute to the public service rendered by Sandy Watson who died recently.
I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
No declarations of interest were made.
II SOCIAL WORK DEPARTMENT SERVICE PLAN REVIEW
There was submitted Report No 331-2015 by the Head of Service, Strategy, Integration, Performance and Support Services reviewing the performance of the Social Work Department during 2014/2015 in relation to the Service Plan 2012-2017.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the content of the Social Work Department Service Plan Review;
(ii) noted the key achievements as outlined in paragraph 4.1 of the report; and
(iii) noted the areas where improvement was continuing to be progressed as outlined in paragraph 4.2 of the report.
III FAMILY PLACEMENT POLICY AMENDMENTS
On a reference to Article III of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 19th December, 2005 and to Article IV of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 25th June, 2007, there was submitted Report No 335-2015 by the Head of Service, Strategy, Integration, Performance and Support Services relative to the above.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the contents of the report;
(ii) approved the amendments to the family placement smoking policy and the policy on looked after children sharing a bedroom as detailed in Appendices I and II of the report; and
(iii) approved the introduction of a policy in relation to bedroom sizes for looked after children as detailed in Appendix III of the report.
IV ADULT SUPPORT AND PROTECTION COMMITTEE - INDEPENDENT CONVENERS ANNUAL REPORT 2015
There was submitted Report No 333-2015 by the Head of Service, Strategy, Integration, Performance and Support Services, together with the Annual Report from the Independent Convener of the Adult Support and Protection Committee.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the contents of the Independent Convener's Annual Report;
(ii) noted the progress that had been made in developing an effective partnership response to adult support and protection issues in Dundee (as outlined in Sections 5 and 6 of the report); and
(iii) noted the identified challenges which would be tackled over the next twelve months prior to the next Biennial Report (as outlined in Section 7 of the report).
