I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

No declarations of interest were made.

 

II OUTCOME OF CARE INSPECTORATE INSPECTION - HOME CARE ENABLEMENT AND SUPPORT CITYWIDE, AND COMMUNITY HEALTHOLDER PEOPLE TEAM

 

Reference was made to Article V of the minute of this Committee held on 23rd September, 2013, wherein a report was submitted and noted in relation to the outcome of improvements made to the Home Care - Enablement (East) and Social Care Response Service, following Care Inspectorate Inspection dated November, 2012.

 

There was submitted Report No 80-2014 by Director of Social Work advising the Committee of the outcome of the Care Inspectorate inspection of the Home Care Enablement and Support Citywide Team and Community Mental Health Older People Team which was carried out on 10th October, 2013.

 

The Committee agreed:-

 

(i) to note the contents of the report, and the improvements made to the service;

 

(ii) to note that the changes made within the service had significantly improved the quality of the service for service users;

 

(iii) to note that this had been ratified by the Care Inspectorate inspection, who had awarded the service with an overall grade 5 (Very Good); and

 

(iv) to note that the service would build on the good work done, and continue to look for ways of enhancing the service further.

III OUTCOME OF CARE INSPECTORATE INSPECTION - HOME CARE SOCIAL CARE RESPONSE SERVICE

 

Reference was made to Article V of the minute of meeting of this Committee held on 23rd September, 2013, wherein a report was submitted and noted in relation to the outcome of improvements made to the Home Care - Enablement (East) and Social Care Response Service, following Care Inspectorate Inspection dated November, 2012.

 

There was submitted Report No 81-2014 by Director of Social Work advising the Committee of the outcome of the Care Inspectorate inspection of the Home Care Social Care Response Service which was carried out on 15th November, 2013.

 

The Committee agreed:-

 

(i) to note the contents of the report, and the improvements made to the service;

 

(ii) to note that the changes made within the service had significantly improved the quality of the service for service users, and the morale of the staff working within the service;

 

(iii) to note that this had been ratified by the Care Inspectorate, who had awarded the service with an overall grade 4 (Good); and

 

(iv) to note that the service would build on the good work already made, and was expected that the future planned changes would further enhance the service further.

 

IV CHILDRENS RIGHTS SERVICE REPORT FOR 2011/2013

 

There was submitted Report No 82-2014 by the Director of Social Work informing members of the work undertaken by the Childrens Rights Officer (CRO) for children and young people looked after by Dundee City Council for the years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013.

 

The Committee agreed to note the content of the report and the enclosure report on the work of the Childrens Rights Officer for the period 1st April, 2011 to 31st March, 2013.
