I ELECTION OF CONVENER

Under the terms of the Forum's Constitution, it was noted that the Forum was required to appoint a Convener at the first meeting of the year. In the absence of nominations, it was agreed that it would be competent for Chris Sloan to chair this meeting and that members contact Anne Singleton with nominations urgently.

II MINUTE OF MEETING OF DUNDEE LICENSING FORUM OF 4TH DECEMBER, 2012

The minutes were submitted and approved subject to the inclusion of Liz Kay in the list of apologies.

III MATTERS ARISING

There were no matters arising.

IV OVERPROVISION UPDATE

Carole Robertson advised members that following discussions with colleagues in the Community & Policy Division, the time scale for the consultation was to be changed to April to July, 2013 which would include community festivals etc., and a more focussed approach used.

A plain English summary of the questionnaire was to be obtained which would be of use when attending local events such as community festivals.

Should members consider certain geographical areas were more relevant for future consultation, contact should be made with Vered/Carole as there would not be the capacity to cover all LCP ward areas and it was agreed that the results of the consultation be made available at the September Forum meeting.

Carole and Vered extended thanks to members for their assistance in the progressing of this issue.

V FURTHER OPTIONS FOR ALCOHOL LICENSING - CONSULTATION

The DCC Licensing Board response to the current Scottish Government alcohol had been circulated to members prior to the meeting for members' consideration.

Members agreed that time be taken to consider each response and where it was considered appropriate, additional/alternative comments be made to be noted by Carole Robertson. From this, a Dundee Licensing Forum response would be formed. Members would have an opportunity to comment on this, after which the response would be submitted to the Scottish Government.
