I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
No declarations of interest were made.
II CREATION OF A MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS TRAIL IN TEMPLETON WOODS
There was submitted Report No 369-2013 by the Director of Environment seeking approval for the creation of a Mountain Bike Skills Trail in Templeton Woods and for the appointment of the specialist contractor, Architrail Ltd to undertake the detailed design and construction.
The Committee approved:-
(i) the construction of the Mountain Bike Skills Trail; and
(ii) acceptance of the tender submitted by the specialist contractor, Architrail Ltd for 55,000 to design and construct the Mountain Bike Skills Trail.
III SUPPLY OF PLANT AND VEHICLES 2013/2014
There was submitted Report No 431-2013 by the Director of Environment seeking approval for the purchase of plant and vehicles as required by the Environment Department, Social Work Department and Leisure and Culture Dundee Trust to maintain operational efficiency.
The Committee approved the purchase of the plant and vehicles as listed in Appendix 1, at a total cost of 462,475.
IV CONSULTATION ON A STRATEGY TO TACKLE AND PREVENT LITTER AND FLYTIPPING - TOWARDS A LITTER-FREESCOTLAND
There was submitted Report No 432-2013 by the Director of Environment seeking approval for the Councils proposed response to the above Scottish Government consultation exercise.
The Committee approved the response, subject to minor changes and remitted the Director of Environment to submit this to the Scottish Government accordingly.
