The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No declarations of interest were made.

II PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

There was submitted Report No 139-2013 by the Director of Social Work seeking approval of funding Direct Payment for one service user's care services which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

The Sub-Committee agreed that a care package be funded on a permanent basis to meet the service user's assessed care needs and to allow him to remain in his own home, cared for by his personal assistants.

III INCREASE IN DIRECT PAYMENT HOURS EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

There was submitted Report No 140-2013 by the Director of Social Work seeking approval of funding Direct Payment for one service user's care services hours which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

The Sub-Committee agreed that a care package be funded on a permanent basis to meet the service user's assessed care needs and to allow her to remain in her own home, cared for by her personal assistants.
