I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
No declarations of interest were made.
II KIRK STREET ECO PROJECT
There was submitted Report No 10-2013 by the Director of Housing seeking approval for a pilot ECO (Energy Company Obligation) Project at Kirk Street multi-storey (MSD) and low rise developments. The project was for installation of external wall insulation, district heating and kitchen and bathroom upgrades.
The Committee:-
(i) agreed the contents of the report;
(ii) agreed to the funding by Scottish Gas of an additional staff resource for an initial period of 12 months and noted that the Director of Housing and Head of Personnel would progress this via the establishment change process;
(iii) authorised the Director of Housing to enter into an agreement with Scottish Gas to secure the project; and
(iv) agreed to the Project/Construction Team currently undertaking works at Whorterbank/Lansdowne MSD transferring to this project immediately after their completion.
III NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST INITIATIVE ROUND 2
On a reference to Article III of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 23rd April, 2012, there was submitted Joint Report No 12-2013 by the Director of Housing and Director of Corporate Services requesting Committee approval for an increase in units from 75 to 99 within the previously approved National Housing Trust scheme at Wallace Craigie Works, Dundee.
The Committee approved the scheme proposed by Keiller Estates for the development of 99 flats at Wallace Craigie Works.
