I WHOLE SYSTEM APPROACH TO YOUTH JUSTICE
Reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee held on 10th February, 2011, wherein the Committee agreed to the redesign of Adolescent Services which would strengthen services to adolescents and young offenders as detailed in Appendix D of the report referred to.
There was submitted Report No 284-2011 by the Director of Social Work informing of the implementation of a Youth Justice Whole System Approach agreed with all partners and the Government. It was reported that the Whole System Approach built on these changes within Adolescent Services with the aim of developing fully integrated multi-agency processes and services for children and young people who had committed crimes.
The Committee agreed:-
(i) to note the implementation of the Youth Justice Whole System Approach; and
(ii) to instruct the Director of Social Work to provide a review of progress in 12 months.
II FOOD TRAIN SERVICE
There was submitted Report No 286-2011 by the Director of Social Work informing of the proposed establishment of the Food Train Service, a grocery delivery service for older people.
The Committee agreed to defer consideration of this item of business.
