At a MEETING of the DUNDEE CITY LICENSING BOARD held at Dundee on 16th June, 2011.

I LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005

(a) VARIATIONS (MAJOR)

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant, agreed to grant a variation to the on consumption hours on Sundays to allow 1am closing Mondays to Sundays, to substitute a new musical entertainment condition, to extend timings for outdoor drinking to Midnight Mondays to Sundays and to vary access for children and young persons.

The Board agreed to grant a variation to allow various activities outwith core hours and to vary the terms of access for children and young persons.

The Board agreed to the amendments submitted.

The Board agreed to the amendments submitted.

(iii) LOCHEE BOWLING CLUB

The Board agreed to the amendments submitted.

III PAVEMENT CAFES - OCCASIONAL LICENCES

(i) CHARLESTON BAR, 70-86 CHARLESTON DRIVE, DUNDEE

The Board, having heard from the licensee on their own behalf and an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards, agreed to grant the above application.

(ii) SHIP INN, FISHER STREET, BROUGHTY FERRY, DUNDEE

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the licensee and an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards, agreed to grant the above application.

(iii) READING ROOMS, BLACKSCROFT, DUNDEE

The Board agreed to defer the above application.

IV PREMISES LICENCES

(a) REVIEW HEARING

(i) Lennons, 16 Shore Terrace, Dundee

The Board heard from an agent on behalf of the licensee, an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards and the Board's Legal Officer.

The Convener moved that a final decision be pronounced at the conclusion of the review hearing. As an amendment, Councillor Gordon moved to defer a final decision to a future meeting of the Board.

On a division, there voted for the motion - the Convener and Councillors Bowes, Hunter, Fordyce and Roberts (5); and for the amendment - Bailie Regan and Councillors Gordon, Keenan and Dick (4) -whereupon the motion was declared carried. Thereafter, the Board agreed there were no grounds established for a review and further agreed to hold personal licence review hearings in respect of John Hutchison and Alison Mills.

V PERSONAL LICENCES

(a) NEW APPLICATION

The Board, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf and the Chief Constable's representative, agreed to grant the above application.
