I TAYSIDE AND FIFE SPORTING PARTNERSHIP - REVENUE SUPPORT 2010/2011

There was submitted Report No 217-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities recommending revenue grant funding for Tayside and Fife Sporting Partnership for the year 2010/2011.

The Committee approved the level of revenue grant funding amounting to 5,750.

II REDUCTION OF ON-STREET PROSTITUTION - SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES TO WOMEN - DUNDEE CITYCOUNCIL AND WOMENS RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE CENTRE

There was submitted Report No 3-2011 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for a Service Level Agreement between Dundee City Council and Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASAC).

The Committee agreed to remit the Director of Leisure and Communities to enter into a Service Level Agreement between Dundee City Council and Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre.

III DUNDEE FESTIVAL TRUST

There was submitted Agenda Note AN3-2011 advising that the Dundee Festival Trust was set up as a Charitable Trust in 1991 with the objective of promoting the Dundee Festival and other festivals and study, practice and knowledge of the Arts. It was intended that the Trust be amended and updated to apply to any festival within the City of Dundee and it was proposed that two of the Trustees would be ex officio Council Officers. It was proposed, in the first instance, they should be the Director of Leisure and Communities and the Cultural Services Manager.

The Committee approved accordingly.

IV SPORTDUNDEE - APPLICATION FOR GRANT 2010/2011

Reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 16th December, 1996, wherein approval was given to allow SportDundee to administer the grant aid scheme on behalf of Dundee City Council.

It was requested 7,714 be allocated to SportDundee for administration of SportDundee and Dundee City Disability Sport combined grant aid scheme for the year 2010/2011. The grant application would assist in encouraging and developing sportspersons and clubs and assist in progressing Dundee Legacy Plan.

This expenditure could be met from the Leisure and Communities Department's 2010/2011 revenue budget for grants.

The Committee approved accordingly.
