I PROCUREMENT OF STORAGE RACKING FOR ART COLLECTIONS
There was submitted Report No 653-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities detailing the proposals received for the procurement and installation of specialist racking within The McManus Galleries: Dundee's Art Gallery and Museum for the storage of oil paintings and requesting a decision on acceptance of the recommendation.
The Committee approved the acceptance of the proposal submitted by Rackline Ltd to supply and install a system suitable for the purpose, at a total cost of 119,963.
II GRANT AWARD 2010/2011 - GENERATOR PROJECTS
There was submitted Report No 634-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities detailing a request for grant funding to Generator Projects.
The Committee approved support of 6,500 to Generator Projects.
III FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO BALERNO COMMUNITY ACTIVITY GROUP
There was submitted Report No 644-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for a revenue grant to Balerno Community Activity Group.
The Committee approved the award of 900 towards the overall running costs for Balerno Community Activity Group which would enable the organisation to continue to deliver a responsive programme of social, leisure and recreational activities for the over 50's age group in the Douglas area.
IV VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS TRAINING GRANTS FUND 2010-2011
There was submitted Report No 639-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities making recommendations for grant awards from the Voluntary Organisations Training Grants Fund.
The Committee approved the recommended grants as detailed below, to the total value of 1,000.

V CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CLOSURES
The Convener, Councillors Ross, Hunter, McCready and Bailie Wallace declared a non-financial interest in this item by virtue of their Council appointments to Dundee Leisure.
There was submitted Report No 638-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities informing the Committee of the festive season opening times within facilities funded by the Leisure, Arts and Communities Committee.
The Committee noted the opening times as detailed in Appendix I to the minute.
VI TENDER FOR THE RESTORATION OF HEADSTONES AND MEMORIALS
There was submitted Report No 651-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for the purchase of services for the restoration and stabilisation of headstones and memorials for the Leisure and Communities Department.
The Committee agreed that the tender submitted by Vermicon Environmental, Fife based on schedule of rates, be accepted.
VII TENDER FOR THE SUPPORT AND DELIVERY OF EXCAVATOR UNIT
This item was withdrawn.
