I HOUSING SERVICE PLAN 2010/2012
There was submitted Report No 341-2010 by the Director of Housing seeking approval of the Housing Department Service Plan 2010/2012 and the Annual Action Plan 2010/2012.
The Committee approved the Housing Department Service Plan 2010/2012 and the Annual Action Plan 2010/2012.
II GAS SAFETY POLICY
There was submitted Report No 348-2010 by the Director of Housing seeking approval of the Gas Safety Policy.
The Committee agreed the policy detailed in the report.
III HOUSING DEPARTMENT IMPROVEMENT PLAN PROGRESS
There was submitted Report No 381-2010 by the Director of Housing reporting on progress on the Improvement Plan agreed with the Scottish Housing Regulator.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the progress on the implementation of the Improvement Plan up to May 2010; and
(ii) agreed that, as part of the commitment to Public Performance Reporting, the report be added to the plans and performance section of the Council's website.
IV ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR POLICY
There was submitted Report No 288-2010 by the Director of Housing seeking authority to implement the Anti-social Behaviour Policy attached to the report. The policy provided a framework for actions relating to complaints of anti-social behaviour.
The Committee agreed the Anti-social Behaviour Policy.
V TENDERS RECEIVED
There was submitted Report No 376-2010 by the City Architectural Services Officer detailing offers received for the undernoted contracts:-
(a) CAMPERDOWN 4TH, 5TH AND 14TH DEVELOPMENTS - KITCHENS, BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS
The Committee agreed to a partnering project with Dundee Contract Services to 373,393, together with the undernoted allowances:-

The Committee agreed to a partnering project with McGill Security Ltd, Dundee amounting to 132,132, together with allowances of 13,645 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 145,777.
VI CONTRACT SERVICES DEPARTMENT SERVICE PLAN 2010/2012
There was submitted Report No 364-2010 by the Director of Contract Services seeking approval of the Contract Services Department Service Plan 2010/2012.
The Committee approved the Contract Services Department Service Plan 2010/2012.
VII WASTE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT SERVICE PLAN 2010/2012
There was submitted Report No 351-2010 by the Head of Waste Management seeking approval of the Waste Management Department Service Plan 2010/2012.
The Committee approved the Waste Management Department Service Plan 2010/2012.
VIII CONTAMINATED LAND STRATEGY - SITE INVESTIGATION CONTRACTS
There was submitted Report No 358-2010 by the Head of Environmental Health and Trading Standards informing the Committee of the projects undertaken in 2009/2010 and making recommendations for the continuing implementation of the Contaminated Land Regime, in particular, letting of contracts for site investigation works.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the projects that were undertaken in 2009/2010 as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report;
(ii) approved that Environmental Health and Trading Standards (EHTS) continued to use the City Engineers in a consulting role, utilising their expertise in tender preparation and project management;
(iii) agreed that the City Engineer be authorised to accept the most favourable tender for each work package. All such tenders to be reported retrospectively to Committee for information and on completion of works programme; and
(iv) approved the spending of up to 114k in financial year 2010/2011 for the purposes of progressing the Contaminated Land Strategy.
IX WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ACT 1985 - ANNUAL RETURN
There was submitted Report No 365-2010 by the Head of Environmental Health and Trading Standards providing information on the operation of Dundee City Council as a Local Weights and Measures Authority for the year to 31st March, 2010.
The Committee noted the contents of the report and the attached annual report which was in the format agreed by the Secretary of State in accordance with Section 70 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985.
