Councillor Jim BARRIE, Convener, in the Chair.
Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.
The Convener agreed that the undernoted items of business be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 17(b) in view of the timescales involved.
The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
I PURCHASE OF PLACEMENT WHICH EXCEEDS THE APPROVED NATIONAL CARE HOME RATE
There was submitted Report No 209-2010 by the Director of Social Work seeking approval of funding for a temporary placement in 7 Arches Unit within South Grange Nursing Home Monifieth.
The Sub-Committee approved the temporary placement as above to be funded for a period of approximately eighteen months in order to enable the service user to be placed more appropriately outwith the acute hospital setting while appropriate housing was being built to accommodate her needs.
II PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS
There was submitted Report No 210-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to purchase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.
The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of this care arrangement, the cost of which exceeded agreed authorised limits but would meet current needs appropriately and would be subject to regular review and adjusted as appropriate should circumstances change.
Jim BARRIE, Convener.
