I INTRODUCTION OF AN E-BOOK AND E-AUDIO BOOK SERVICE

There was submitted Report No 142-2010 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for the introduction of a downloadable e-book and e-audio book lending service for members of Dundee City Libraries using the Overdrive Digital Library Reserve Service.

The Committee approved the introduction of this new service.

II TENDERS RECEIVED

The Convener and Councillors Ross, Hunter and McCready declared a non-financial interest in this item by virtue of their appointment to Dundee Leisure Board.

There was submitted Report No 161-2010 by the City Architectural Services Officer giving details of offers received for the undernoted contracts:-

(a) DISC - VARIOUS EXTERNAL HEALTH AND SAFETY WORKS

The Committee agreed to accept a negotiated contract from Dundee Contract Services amounting to 8,967.96, together with allowances of 3,105 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 12,072.96.

(b) FINTRY LIBRARY - BOILER REPLACEMENT

The Committee agreed to accept a negotiated contract from CMS Heating and Plumbing Ltd, Arbroath, amounting to 14,459 with allowances 2,678 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 17,137.90.
