II IMPLEMENTATION OF HOME CARE ENABLEMENT MODEL
There was submitted Report No 529-2009 by the Director of Social Work informing the Committee of the proposed development of an enablement approach to providing home care services across Dundee City.
The Committee agreed:-
(i) to endorse the introduction of an enablement approach to the delivery of home care services;
(ii) to endorse the measures being adopted to improve the level of independence of service users, and to increase the efficiency of the home care service;
(iii) to note that this was an interim report; and
(iv) to note that following a six month pilot of home care enablement, the enablement model of home care would be introduced on a phased basis and that a further report outlining the implications of full implementation would be brought back to Committee.
Jim BARRIE, Convener.
