I TENDERS RECEIVED FOR MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC OPEN SPACE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS 2008/2013
The Director of Economic Development submitted Report No 249-2008 giving details of offers received to maintain the above systems.
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Scotshield Ltd, Airdrie amounting to 513,273.89, to which required to be added allowances of 5,000 for professional fees, making a total expenditure of 518,273.89.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
Prior to consideration of the undernoted items of business, the Director of Economic Development outlined, at the request of the Convener, the systems and processes adopted by the Council in reporting this subject matter for decision at meetings of the Economic Development Committee.
The Committee noted accordingly.
II LAND OWNERSHIP DATA DIGITISING
There was submitted Report No 256-2008 by the Director of Economic Development detailing proposals to digitise the City Council's land ownership records to create a layer in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The Committee agreed to accept a tender from Cad-Capture Ltd to geo-reference and digitise the paper ownership terrier and corresponding index cards into a GIS-compatible format.
III COMMERCIAL LEASES
There was submitted and approved Report No 258-2008 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-
