III PRISON VISITING
(a) PRISON VISITING COMMITTEE HMP OPEN ESTATE
On a reference to Article III of the minute of meeting of the City Council of 13th August, 2007, it was reported that Mr Bruce Mackie had intimated his resignation from the above.
The Council agreed that Mr Gian Jain, be appointed to serve on this Committee.
In addition, it was remitted to the Groups to forward any further Councillor or non-Councillor nominations to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to fill the remaining vacancy and any future vacancies.
(b) PERTH PRISON VISITING COMMITTEE
On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of the City Council of 25th June, 2007, the Council agreed that the undernoted be appointed to serve on the above.

IV DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (WHALERS CLOSE) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2008
On a reference to Article VI of the minute of meeting of the Planning and Transport Committee of 10th December, 2007, the Council agreed to make and enact the above Order, a copy of which is appended hereto.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE ACQUISITION OF LAND (AUTHORISATION PROCEDURE) (SCOTLAND)
ACT 1947
DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (WHALERS CLOSE)
COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2008
DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (hereinafter referred to as "the acquiring authority") in exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 32 and 40 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 hereby make the following Compulsory Purchase Order:-
1 This Order may be cited as the Dundee City Council (Whalers Close) Compulsory Purchase Order 2008.
2 Subject to the provisions of this Order, the acquiring authority are hereby authorised to purchase compulsorily for the purpose of providing within their area suitable parking places for vehicles necessary for relieving or preventing congestion of traffic, the land which is described in the Schedule hereto and is delineated in black and coloured red on the map signed with reference to this Order and marked "Map referred to in the Dundee City Council (Whalers Close) Compulsory Purchase Order 2008"; and
3 The registration of a conveyance, as defined in Section 106(5) of the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003, in implement of this Order shall not extinguish any real burdens or servitudes affecting the land described in the Schedule hereto.
