There was submitted Report No 584-2006 by Director of Leisure and Communities making a recommendation for a grant award from the National Organisations Fund.
The Committee approved the level of grant funding as set out below and also agreed that, in addition, the Leisure and Communities Department would continue to make available office accommodation inclusive of heating and lighting and continue to provide professional support to LEAD Scotland.

IV RESPONSE TO THE SCOTTISH EXECUTIVE CONSULTATION ON A NATIONAL YOUTH WORK STRATEGY - YOUTH WORK OPPORTUNITIES FORALL
There was submitted Report No 602-2006 by Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for the submission of the City Council's response to the Scottish Executive's consultation on the National Youth Work Strategy.
The collated response was contained in Appendix 1 to the report.
The Committee agreed to approve the response contained in Appendix 1 to the report and authorised its submission to the Scottish Executive.
V DUNDEE COMMUNITY SAFETY PARTNERSHIP - ALLOCATION OF LOCAL ACTION FUND 2006-2007
There was submitted Report No 604-2006 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for the allocation of grant awards from the Local Action Fund.
The Committee approved the allocation of grants, totalling 8,061.24 outlined in Appendix 1 to the report.
VI ARTS AND BUSINESS SCOTLAND AWARDS 2006
There was submitted Agenda Note AN347-2006 advising the Committee that on 11th October, 2006 at the Arts and Business Scotland 20th Anniversary Awards held in the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Dundee City Council Leisure and Communities Department, in partnership with the Clydesdale Bank, won the Arts and Communities Category for the "Count Me In" Project.
