The minute of meeting of this Committee of 12th June, 2006 was held as read.

Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

I DUNDEE HOUSE/OVERGATE EXTENSION

Reference was made to Article X of the minute of meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee of 12th September, 2005 and Article VII of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 17th October 2005. There was submitted Agenda Note AN238-2006 advising of a list of provisional agreements reached with owners to purchase or, where this had not yet been possible, a revised assessment of the current position with regards to the costs of acquiring the remaining properties, noting that there had been recent increases in residential values.

The Committee noted the Property Schedule and authorised the Director of Economic Development and Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to conclude agreements and report back on any variance from the figures detailed.

The Committee also noted that if properties were not required for Dundee House and/or the Overgate Extension the properties would then be sold and the proceeds credited to the Council's Capital Fund with the cost of the properties required for the Overgate extension being met by the agreed arrangements.

JOE MORROW, Convener.
