Door Stewards Registration Sub-committee - 27/02/2006

At a MEETING of the DOOR STEWARDS REGISTRATION SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE DUNDEE CITY LICENSING BOARD held at Dundee on 27th February, 2006.

I LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976 - REGULAR EXTENSION - APPLICATION FOR DOOR STEWARD REGISTRATION (PROVISIONAL)

 

(a) There was submitted an application by Mr JAM for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

(b) There was submitted an application by Mr SM for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

(c) There was submitted an application by Mr MR for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed to grant the application.

 

(d) There was submitted an application by Mr RS for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed to grant the application.

 

(e) There was submitted an application by Mr MT for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

(f) There was submitted an application by Mr WW for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relevant to that application.

 

Thereafter, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed to grant the application.

 

II OPERATION OF THE SCHEME

 

The Sub-Committee were informed that the Security Industry Authority would assume the role of training and registration of door stewards from 2007.

 

It was agreed that current fully registered door stewards would have their registrations extended to 31st December, 2007. Those with a provisional registration would have their registrations extended to 31st December, 2006 and new applicants who were granted registration during 2006 would be registered up to 31st December, 2006.
