At a MEETING of the LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 22nd September 2005.

The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 59(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that this would involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 3, 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the above Act.

 

I CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982

 

(a) TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE - RENEWALS

 

(i) There was submitted an application by Mr S C for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee noted that the applicant was not present and agreed that consideration of this application be deferred to the meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee to be held on 17th October 2005 to allow the applicant to be present.

 

(ii) There was submitted an application by Mr N C for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Committee gave consideration to a letter of objection which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted for a period of one year.

 

(iii) There was submitted an application by Mr G C for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard the applicant on their own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted for a period of one year.

 

(iv) There was submitted an application by Mr D McN for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard a representative on behalf of the applicant, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted for a period of one year.

(v) There was submitted an application by Mr R M for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee noted that the applicant was not present and agreed that consideration of the application be deferred to the meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee to be held on 17th October 2005 to allow the applicant to be present.

 

(vi) There was submitted an application by Mr J O for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted for a period of one year.

 

(vii) There was submitted an application by Mr D S for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committed noted that the applicant was not present and agreed that consideration of the application be deferred to the meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee to be held on 17th October 2005 to allow the applicant to be present.

 

(viii) There was submitted an application by Mr A W for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.
