At a MEETING of the DOOR STEWARDS REGISTRATION SUB-COMMITTEE of the DUNDEE CITY LICENSING BOARD held at Dundee on27th November, 2003.

I LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976 - REGULAR EXTENSION APPLICATION FOR DOOR STEWARDSREGISTRATION (PROVISIONAL)

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. T.G. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. S.W. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard from the applicant on his own behalf the Sub-Committee agreed to grant the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. R.K. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having noted that the applicant was not present the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. G.R. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. J.L. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

There was submitted an application by Mr. J.M. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present and having heard from the Chief Constable's representative the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. R.M. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application. Part of the letter referred to convictions which were spent in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and after hearing from the Chief Constable's representative as to their age and nature, the Sub-Committee agreed they may be considered since justice could not otherwise be done.

 

Thereafter, having heard from the applicant on his own behalf who had been given advice by the Council's legal representative that it would be the applicant's decision whether or not to voluntarily disclose details of a forthcoming Court case and then having received the advice chose to disclose that he would be pleading not guilty to these charges, the Sub-Committee agreed to defer the application.

 

There was submitted an application by Mr. J.Y. for provisional registration as a door steward.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having noted that the applicant was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to refuse the application.

 

II REVOCATION HEARINGS

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to the conduct of Mr. C.N.

 

Thereafter having noted that the licence holder was not present, the Sub-Committee agreed to revoke the licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to the conduct of Mr. A.F.

 

Thereafter having noted that the licence holder was not present the Sub-Committee agreed to revoke the licence.

 

III IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of complaint by the Chief Constable relative to the conduct of Mr. W.J.

 

The Sub-Committee, having heard from the Chief Constable's representative agreed immediate suspension of the licence.
