I DLO/DSO FINANCIAL OPERATING STATEMENTS FOR THE THREE MONTHS ENDED 30TH JUNE 2003

There was submitted Report No 525-2003 by the Chief Executive and Depute Chief Executive (Finance).appraising the Committee on the financial position of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and Direct Service Organisations (DSO) for the three months ended 30 June 2003.

The Committee agreed to:

(i) note the current financial position of each of the respective DLO and DSOs; and;

instruct the appropriate Chief Officers within each DLO and DSO to take the necessary actions to ensure that their DLO/DSO's budgeted surplus is achieved in the financial year 2003/2004.

II DIRECT LABOUR ORGANISATION OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE FOR THE THREE MONTHS ENDED 30THJUNE 2003

There was submitted Report No 526-2003 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services informing the Committee of the operational performance of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) for the three months ended 30 June 2003.

The Committee agreed to:-

(i) note the operational performance of the DLO for the period stated; and

(ii) where necessary, instruct the relevant Chief Officers within the City Council to take the appropriate steps to ensure the DLO achieves its performance targets.
