I TAYSIDE FURNITURE PROJECT - ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT
On a reference to Article V of the minute of meeting of the Environmental and Consumer Protection Committee of 16th December 2002, there was submitted Report No 466-2003 by the Acting Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection proposing the provision of additional financial support for the Tayside Furniture Project.
The Committee agreed that a contribution of 50,000 towards staffing and running costs of the Tayside Furniture Project from 30th June 2003 until the end of the financial year, 31st March, 2004, be made on the condition that a new Dundee company be established and that the Council was able to nominate appropriate Directors.
II PURCHASE OF WHEELED BINS IN 2003 - EXTENSION OF CONTRACTS
The Convener agreed that the following item be considered in terms of Standing Order No 52(3)(b) and in view of the timescales.
On a reference to Article IV of the minute of meeting of 18th February 2002 there was submitted Agenda Note AN344-2003 which proposed that the contracts for the purchase of wheeled bins which were awarded to SSI Schaeffer and Egbert Taylor be extended.
The Committee agreed that the contracts for the purchase of wheeled bins awarded to SSI Schaeffer and Egbert Taylor be extended until 31st December, 2003.
