The minute of meeting of the Adjourned Board of 17th April 2003 was held as read.
Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.
I APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN
Councillor FitzPatrick moved that Councillor Fordyce be appointed Chairman.
As an amendment, Councillor Mackie, moved that Councillor Powrie be appointed Chairman.
On a division, there voted for the motion - Councillors FitzPatrick, Barrie, Corrigan, Don and Fordyce (5); and for the amendment - the Lord Provost and Councillors Grant, Wright, Regan, Mackie and Powrie (6); whereupon the amendment was declared carried and Councillor Powrie was appointed Chairman for the forthcoming year; whereupon he took the Chair.
II LICENSING BOARD CONFERENCE - 1ST AND 2ND SEPTEMBER 2003
The Board agreed that the Chairman and Clerk attend the Licensing Board Conference at the West Park Centre, Dundee on 1st and 2nd September 2003 at a cost of 150 per delegate.
III DOOR STEWARDS REGISTRATION SUB-COMMITTEE
The Board agreed to set up a Door Stewards Registration Sub-Committee and places allocated on the basis of one Administration, one SNP and one Conservative.
IV ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE - ENTRY CONDITIONS
The Board agreed that the minimum entry charge would remain at 2.50 for the forthcoming year.
V SECTION 31 HEARING IN TERMS OF LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976 - BONE-AKO LIMITED ANDGEOFFREY ABBOTT, ROK STOP, SOUTH WARD ROAD (PUBLIC HOUSE)
The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant and from an officer from the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department, agreed to suspend the applicant's licence for one year.
