I TENDERS RECEIVED
The City Architectural Services Officer submitted Report No 644-2002 giving details of a negotiated offer with Dundee Contract Services to carry out the Christmas Lighting for 2002/2003.
The Committee agreed to accept the offer amounting to 110,164.61 to which required to be added allowances of 15,000 for trees and garlands, 6,600 for catenary lighting support in Murraygate and 12,049 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 143,813.61.
The Committee resolved, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.
II UNITS 5, 6, 7 AND 8, SLESSOR COURT, CLAVERHOUSE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
The Estates Manager submitted Report No 718-2002 giving details of the proposed sale of Units 5 to 8 to an Economic Development Company and the proposed development and lease of Units 5, 6 and 7 to another interested party.
The Committee:-
(a)approved the proposed sale of Units 5 to 8 at Claverhouse Industrial Estate to a development company;
(b)approved Dundee City Council, on behalf of another interested party, taking a lease back of Units 5, 6 and 7; and
(c)noted that the bank loan taken out by the development company in respect of this project would be backed up by the previous loan from the City Council.
