I SOCIAL WORK DEPARTMENT

(a) Criminal Justice Services - Group Work - Proposal for Offenders

 

On a reference to Article VI of the minute of meeting of the Social Work Committee of this date, there was submitted Report No 457-2000 by the Directors of Social Work and Personnel and Management Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the terms of the report so far as its interests were concerned.

 

(b) Establishing Residential Respite Unit for Children with Disabilities at Gillburn Road

 

On a reference to Article VII of the minute of meeting of the Social Work Committee of this date, there was submitted Report No 458-2000 by the Directors of Social Work and Personnel and Management Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the terms of the report so far as its interests were concerned.

 

The Convener agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a late item under Standing Order 51(3)(b) in view of the timescales involved.

 

II NEIGHBOURHOOD RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT - REGRADING OF POST

 

An application for regrading had been submitted by the Manager, Support Services, in the Neighbourhood Resources and Development Department. The application was made on the basis of comparability with like posts in other Departments.

 

Following a detailed examination of the claim, the Director of Personnel and Management Services confirmed that the post was relatively comparable with the post cited and, accordingly, it was recommended that the post be regraded from spinal column points 50-53, 32,271 - 34,578, to spinal column points 53-56, 34,578 - 37,104.

 

The Committee approved the recommendation.
