I CLOSED CIRCUIT SECURITY CAMERAS

 

There was submitted Report No. 34-2002 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services seeking approval to purchase a replacement closed circuit security camera system for Dundee Contract Services.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Electro Guard Security Systems at a total cost of 12,000.

 

II LEASE OF COLLECTION VEHICLE FOR RECYCLATES

 

There was submitted Report No. 795-2001 by the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection seeking authority to lease one recycling collection vehicle.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the offer received from Terberg MATEC UK at a cost of 90,755.

 

III DLO/DSO FINANCIAL OPERATING STATEMENTS FOR THE NINE MONTHS ENDED 31ST DECEMBER 2001

 

Three was submitted Report No. 117-2002 by the Chief Executive and Director of Finance appraising the Committee on the financial position of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and Direct Service Organisations (DSO) for the nine months ended 31st December, 2001.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(a) note the current financial position of each of the respective DLO and DSO's; and

 

(b) instruct the appropriate Chief Officers within each DLO and DSO to take the necessary actions to ensure that their DLO/DSO's budgeted surplus is achieved in the financial year 2001/2002.

 

IV DIRECT LABOUR ORGANISATION OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE FOR THE NINE MONTHS ENDED 31STDECEMBER 2001

 

Three was submitted Report No. 118-2002 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services informing the Committee of the operational performance of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) for the nine months ended 31st December, 2001.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(a) note the operational performance of the DLO for the period stated; and

 

(b) where necessary, instruct the relevant Chief Officers within the City Council to take the appropriate steps to ensure the DLO achieves its performance targets.
