I REGISTRATION AND CASES SUB-COMMITTEE OF 19TH DECEMBER, 2001

 

The minute of the above meeting, a copy of which is appended hereto, was submitted for information and record purposes.

 

II RE-ALIGNMENT OF COMMUNITY CARE MANAGEMENT

 

There was submitted Joint Report No. 87-2002 by the Directors of Social Work and Personnel and Management Services recommending the realignment of the management structure of community care services.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i)note that the Personnel and Management Services Committee had approved the revised reporting arrangements to service managers outlined in Appendix 1 of the report.

 

(ii)implement the revised management arrangements.

 

III INTER AGENCY WORKING - CRIMINAL JUSTICE SOCIAL WORK AND TAYSIDE POLICE

 

There was submitted Report No. 137-2002 by the Director of Social Work informing members of an agreement between the Criminal Justice Service and Tayside Police to form an integrated risk assessment and risk management team for sex offenders and other potentially dangerous offenders which would be based in Friarfield House, Barrack Street, Dundee.

 

The Committee agreed to the creation of a Joint Criminal Justice Service and Tayside Police risk assessment and risk management team for sex offenders and other potentially dangerous offenders.

 

IV ASSOCIATION OF DIRECTORS OF SOCIAL WORK ANNUAL CONFERENCE

 

It was reported that the Annual Conference of the Association of Directors of Social Work would take place at Dunblane Hydro from Wednesday, 1st May to Friday, 3rd May, 2002.

 

The Committee approved the attendance of one member of the Majority Group, one member of the Majority Opposition Group and one member of the Minority Opposition Group.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public be excluded for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

V REGISTRATION OF RESIDENTIAL AND OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS

 

The Committee approved the cancellation of registration for a residential home effective from 4th March, 2002.
