I MAJOR PROJECTS GRANTS AND SMALL PROJECTS GRANTS
The Committee noted that this Report had been withdrawn.
II McMANUS GALLERIES - HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND DEVELOPMENT
It was reported that a Specialist Market Impact Assessment of the McManus Galleries Restoration and Development project was required to allow the project to proceed to a decision on the Stage 1 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It was also reported that Yellow Book, a company selected by a consortium including Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise Tayside through a competitive tendering process, had been contracted to undertake market assessment work for a consortium of Dundee Visitor Attractions.
The Committee agreed to negotiate an extension to this contract for a fee of 2,200.
III DICK McTAGGART CENTRE/DUDHOPE ART CENTRE - PROPOSED EXTENSION TO LEASES TO DUNDEE COLLEGE
On a reference to Article VI of the minute of meeting of the Leisure Services Committee of 17th April, 2000 and Article V of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 18th August, 1997, the Director of Arts and Heritage reported that it had been agreed to extend the above two leases to 1st September, 2003 in respect of the Dudhope Arts Centre and 30th June, 2003 in respect of the McTaggart Centre.
The Committee remitted to the appropriate officers to liaise with Dundee College in order to agree the principles of longer term arrangements which would be brought back to this Committee for consideration.
