I AUDIT SUB-COMMITTEE
The minute of meeting of the Audit Sub-Committee of 24 September 2001, a copy of which is appended hereto, was submitted for information and record purposes.
II CAPITAL MONITORING
After considering Report No 625-2001 by the Director of Finance appraising members of the latest position regarding the Council's Expenditure Programme for 2001/2002, the Committee noted the contents of the report.
III REVENUE MONITORING
There was submitted Report No 631-2001 by the Director of Finance providing the Committee with an analysis of the 2001/2002 Projected Revenue Outturn as at 31st August 2001 monitored against the adjusted 2001/2002 Revenue Budget.
The Committee:-
(a)noted that the overall General Fund 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outturn as at 31st August 2001 showed an overspend of 972,000 against the adjusted 2001/02 Revenue Budget;
(b)noted the Housing Revenue Account Projected Outturn was in line with the approved 2001/02 Final Revenue Budget;
(c)instructed the Director of Finance to take every reasonable action to eliminate the projected overspend referred to in (a) above; and
(d)instructed the Director of Finance, in conjunction with all Chief Officers of the Council, to continue to monitor the Council's 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outturn.
IV RELIEF OF RATES - CHARITY RELIEF
There was submitted Report No 633-2001 by the Director of Finance seeking authorisation to grant charity relief on the undernoted non-domestic property:-

The Committee approved accordingly.
V SCOTTISH COMMISSION FOR THE REGULATION OF CARE - ADMISSION TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPERANNUATION SCHEME
On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 10th June 1996 there was submitted Report No 664-2001 by the Director of Finance intimating that the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care had requested admission to the Local Government Pension Scheme administered by Dundee City Council.
The Committee approved accordingly, subject to the Scottish Executive confirming that they would act as guarantor for any unfunded liability should the body cease to exist.
