The minute of meeting of this Committee of 11th June 2001 was held as read.

I DUNDEE CONTRACT SERVICES - SERVICE PLAN 1999/2002

 

There was submitted Report No. 431-2001 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services outlining the Public Performance Reporting requirements and the commitment of the City Council's Best Value Submission through reporting performance in relation to the Key Performance Indicators set out in the 1999/2002 Service Plan.

 

The Committee noted the Department's performance and approved the improvement actions set out in the Department's 2001/2002 Action Plan.

 

II DLO/DSO FINANCIAL OPERATING STATEMENTS FOR THREE MONTHS ENDED 30TH JUNE 2001

 

There was submitted Report No. 475-2001 by the Chief Executive and Director of Finance appraising the Committee on the financial position of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and Direct Service Organisations (DSO) for the three month period ended 30th June 2001.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) note the current financial position of each of the respective DLO and DSOs; and

 

(ii)instruct the appropriate Chief Officers within each DLO and DSO to take the necessary actions to ensure that their DLO/DSOs budgeted surplus is achieved in the financial year 2001/2002.

 

III DIRECT LABOUR ORGANISATION OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE FOR THE THREE MONTHS ENDED 30TH JUNE 2001

 

There was submitted Report No. 476-2001 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services informing the Committee of the operational performance of the City Council's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) for the three month period ended 30th June 2001.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) note the operational performance of the DLO for the period stated; and

 

(ii)where necessary, instructs the relevant Chief Officers within the City Council to take the appropriate steps to ensure the DLO achieves its performance targets.
