Discussions had been held with representatives of the Association of Dundee Community Councils to assess the present level of support from the public and the City Council for community councils. At present there were five community councils out of a possible seventeen. Further to these discussions, the Association of Community Councils had consulted with the existing community councils and had now formally requested on their behalf that:-
