Ditch your devices for the day and join us for some soothing offline activities As part of World Mental Health Day, Dundee Central Library are encouraging visitors to try switching off their devices and engage in a range of practical and relaxing activities. Sow some seeds and write a poem with Grow Dundee, free your mind and explore the art of Origami in the STEAM Hub, or make some friendship bracelets with Feeling Strong! All activities are free, no booking required.

Cake or Dice will be there with a selection of board games, such as Ticket to Ride, Flux and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. These games are easy to learn, fast to play, and have lots of giggling involved!

Silent Reading Club-The Golden Hour

Take some time out of the hustle and bustle for an hour of silence with your latest read. Choose a book from the shelves and find a space. Stick around afterwards to chat about what you’ve been reading and make new friends!

ScrapAntics will deliver a creative activity using sound and words supporting people who have come to Scotland seeking asylum and who have experienced trauma. This will be a closed activity but join us from 2pm to find out more.

Feeling Strong

Join Feeling Strong youth mental health charity for young people aged 8-26. Our stall will have mental health resources, information on our services, a HUGE colouring in sheet and friendship bracelet making activities!

Sow a seed and write a little poem about growth with Dundee's Network of Community Growers. Find a community garden close to you!

Launch of Dundee Seed Library
