The Howff Cemetery was formerly used as a meeting place by the Nine Trades of Dundee.
In the Howff visitors can see tombstones of many of Dundee’s leading citizens, including the gravestone of James Chalmers, the inventor of the adhesive postage stamp.
The Howff is a pleasant oasis within the city with its ancient trees and seated areas.
You can view the burial records for the Howff Graveyard on the Friends of Dundee City Archives website.
