At a MEETING of the COMMUNITY SAFETY AND PUBLIC PROTECTION COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 12th February, 2018.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No declarations of interest were made.

II ADULT SUPPORT AND PROTECTION COMMITTEE - ANNUAL REPORT

There was submitted Report No 47-2018 by the Chief Officer, Health and Social Care Partnership, advising the Committee that the Independent Convenor of the Adult Support and Protection Committee had produced his Annual Report for the period April, 2016-March, 2017 which included a summary of the work undertaken and the priorities recommended for the coming year.

The Committee agreed to:-

(i) note the content of the Independent Convenor's Report;

(ii) note the progress that had been made in developing an effective partnership response to Adult Support and Protection issues in the city;

(iii) note the progress achieved in response to the Independent Convenor's recommendations for 2016-2018; and

(iv) note the Independent Convenor's commitment to bring regular updates on progress to the attention of the Committee.

Thereafter, the Convener paid tribute to the Independent Convenor, Mr Colin McCashey, who had concluded his term of office. Mr McCashey had been chair since November, 2013.

The Committee associated themselves with the Convener's remarks.
