I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
No declarations of interest were made.
II ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE
There was submitted Agenda Note AN52-2013 seeking approval for the further spending on electrical charging infrastructure within Dundee.
Reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of the Environment Committee of 29th October, 2012, when the 2nd phase of charging infrastructure was approved for both Council and public use.
Following increased use of the Councils electric vehicles, it was recognised that to improve vehicle utilisation and to combat charging issues, further infrastructure would be beneficial to support the Councils 39 electric vehicles. This would include:-
- 2 x AC/DC Rapid Chargers
- 1 x Mobile Charging Unit
The cost of the additional infrastructure would be 70,000 and the Director of Corporate Services advised that this would be funded from an additional Transport Scotland Plugged in Places grant.
The Committee agreed the proposed additional spend and instructed the Director of Environment to undertake these works.
