There was submitted Report No 36-2007 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) and the Director of Leisure and Communities relative to the above.
The Committee noted the process for allocating small grants through the local community regeneration forums as agreed by the Dundee Partnership and endorsed the funding proposals detailed below:-

IV DUNDEE WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT - ACQUISITION OF LAND FROM TAY ROAD BRIDGE JOINT BOARD
Lord Provost Letford and Councillors Grant, Dick, Barrie, Don and Wallace declared a non-financial interest in this item by virtue of being members of the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board.
On a reference to Article XIV of the minute of meeting of the Planning and Transportation Committee of 20th June, 2005 there was submitted Report No 549-2006 by the Director of Planning and Transportation relative to the above.
The Committee agreed to the purchase of eight plots of land from the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board, which were required to implement the Central Waterfront proposals, at the District Valuer's valuation in this financial year and to dispose of a small area of land to the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board that was required for a proposed ramp. It was noted that the exception to this was the area of the carriageways and ramps of the bridge, the transfer of which would not be undertaken until the contract for the removal and replacement was about to be let.
V SHORE TERRACE - SECOND SECURE COMPUTER FACILITY
Reference was made to Article VIII of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 15th February, 2006.
There was submitted Report No 28-2007 by the Head of Information Technology and the City Architectural Services Officer seeking approval to carry out the alterations to provide a second secure computer facility for the Information Technology Division.
The Committee:-
(a) approved the internal alterations required to form a second secure computer facility at Shore Terrace, Dundee for the Information Technology Division, at an estimated total cost of 600,000 inclusive of professional fees.
(b) authorised the City Architectural Services Officer to negotiate a contract within the overall allowance of 600,000 under a partnering arrangement with Scan Building Services Ltd, Dundee and authorised the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to issue an acceptance for this contract.
